    Le restaurant de l'hôtel a également largement dépassé mes attentes. Sachant que tout le ravitaillement doit être acheminé à dos d'homme jusqu'au sommet, savourer un repas chaud composé de trois plats et d'une soupe — incluant l'authentique « Mao Tofu » (tofu duveteux) de Huangshan — fut un véritable régal. Le petit-déjeuner offre un large choix, avec notamment du lait de soja brûlant, des brioches à la vapeur et des œufs. Si vous prévoyez d'admirer le lever du soleil aux premières heures de la journée, vous pouvez même commander un panier-repas à emporter, vous assurant ainsi une collation chaude tout en contemplant le spectacle. Le salon commun de l'hôtel est doté d'une immense baie vitrée donnant sur les sommets lointains de la Mer de l'Ouest ; revenir après une après-midi de visites éprouvante pour s'asseoir près de la fenêtre, une tasse de thé chaud Huangshan Maofeng à la main — tout en observant les nuages ​​dériver paresseusement autour des sommets — donne l'impression que le temps ralentit.
    Le moment le plus marquant survint aux premières heures du deuxième jour : en suivant les indications du personnel, une marche de vingt minutes mena au pic Danxia juste à temps pour voir le lever du soleil baigner la mer de nuages ​​de teintes orangées et pourpres. Au retour, le personnel attendait à l'entrée avec une infusion chaude au gingembre fraîchement préparée. Après un séjour de deux nuits, bien loin des désagréments ou des compromis souvent associés aux hébergements en altitude, l'expérience au Huangshan Paiyun Hotel s'est distinguée par un confort authentique et une hospitalité attentionnée.
